100th Anniversary Logo Contest

The Paul Sawyier Public Library is soliciting design proposals for a logo to be used for an upcoming celebration of Frankfort's 100th anniversary of its public library.

          Frankfort's public library is celebrating its 100th birthday this year and plans are under way for a series of events to celebrate the occasion.

          Frankfort's first public library opened its doors December 12, 1908, on the seventh floor of the McClure Building.

          The steering committee planning this effort, chaired by Mike Fields and Mary Lynn Collins, is soliciting design ideas that will serve as the basis for a centennial logo to be used with event activities. A $100 prize will be awarded to the winning design.  The steering committee reserves the right to modify the design selected.

          Entries should be submitted on 8 x 10" paper and mailed to Design Contest, Paul Sawyier Public Library, 319 Wapping St., Frankfort KY 40601 to the attention of Library Director Donna Gibson.
