Portrait of Early Families: Frankfort Area before 1860 (Virtual)
September 23 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Three women descended from the early families of Frankfort (Mary Nash Cox, Becky Darnell Bolton, and Sallie Clay Lanham) came together in 2009 to publish the book Portrait of Early Families: Frankfort Area before 1860. Assisted by the numerous descendants who contributed family information, artifacts, and photographs, they compiled a book that recognizes the families who developed Frankfort and surrounding land by providing a visual and narrative record for future generations.
Join Nash and Sallie as they share stories and photographs of some of the individuals featured in their book. They also invite attendees to share any new information they may have on these pioneers who laid the foundation for present day Frankfort.
**This virtual event will be presented in conjunction with an exhibit on the same topic to be featured in the PSPL lobby throughout the month of September.
