Kentucky Reads: All the King’s Men
March 21 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The legislative chamber of the Old State Capitol will provide the perfect backdrop for a discussion of Robert Penn Warren’s book All the King’s Men. Dr. Tracy Campbell, American history professor at the University of Kentucky, will lead the conversation. Kentucky native Robert Penn Warren received a 1947 Pulitzer Prize for this tale of the rise and fall of a 1930’s Deep South politician which raises questions about the use and abuse of power within the U.S. political system that are still relevant today.
This program is part of Kentucky Humanities’ statewide literacy initiative, Kentucky Reads, and is co-sponsored by the Kentucky Historical Society and PSPL. No registration is necessary for this free event.
