Join us for a meet and greet featuring local artist Margie Rigney! Her exhibition, Beyond the Brush - Varietal Artwork of Margie Rigney, is currently on display in the PSPL lobby. No registration necessary, just drop in!

Kentucky native and active member of the Anderson County Arts Council, Margie Miller Rigney currently resides in Scott County. A former newspaper columnist and gallery owner, Margie has been painting professionally for over ten years. Her work varies from charcoal portraits and livestock work to era-specific sepias, oil landscapes, and most recently, detailed ink abstracts. Her public works include life-sized, Irish-inspired sepia portraits at Slainte Public House in Georgetown; a 4-panel grouping, Blue Heron and Cattails at the Scott County Public Library; portrait works at Blue Stallion Brewing; and a Yuko-en Garden landscape painting that resides at the Scott County Department of Tourism. A lover of nature and the outdoors, Margie is motivated by the richly colored landscapes of the Bluegrass region. You may find her painting or fishing along the Elkhorn, tucked inside a vineyard, or set up quietly in a bier garden corner putting her brushes to work.
