Library Closed through Sunday, May 4

The Library will be closed to the public through Sunday, May 4, due to remaining impacts from the recent flood. Tap here to read about the reasons for this decision.

We will continue curbside service next week; Monday – Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Curbside service will not be available on Sunday.

Patrons may place holds online through their account or by calling the Library at 352-2665. Library staff will contact patrons to schedule a pick-up date and time once their items are ready.

Paul Sawyier Public Library is partnering with Bluegrass Theatre Guild to bring the play The Enchanted Bookshop to the River Room for four performances. Join us in September to celebrate the joy of reading in a fresh, fun-filled way!

Performance times are September 15 at 7:00 PM, September 16 at 2:00 PM, September 16 at 7:00 PM, and September 17 at 2:00 PM.

Doors for the evening performances will open at 6:30 PM.

Tickets to The Enchanted Bookshop performances are free and will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis beginning September 5. Tickets may be picked up at the Youth Services Desk. Please choose one performance to attend with your family. 

 

Synopsis of The Enchanted Bookshop: During the day, A Likely Story may look like any other used bookstore. But at night, it’s a place where magic happens!  That’s when the characters inside the books come alive! Come see this funny and exciting adventure and meet characters from your favorite stories - Dorothy Gale, Robin Hood, Matilda, Sherlock Holmes, Hermione, Tom Sawyer, Queen of Hearts, Long John Silver, and even Doctor Dolittle.
