Join us for an evening of readings by three Kentucky poets celebrating recent publications by Larkspur Press: Michael Moran (Substantial Oatmeal), Joe Survant (View from the Stork Building: Chinese Variations), and Richard Taylor (Bull’s Hell: Poems on the Life of Cassius M. Clay). A signing will follow with books available for purchase.

Michael Moran is a retired psychiatrist who lives on a small farm with his wife, Vivian, near Frankfort, Kentucky. Larkspur Press published his first collection of poems, The Fallen World, in 2008.

A former Kentucky Poet Laureate, Richard Taylor is the author of numerous collections of poetry, two novels, and several books relating to Kentucky history, including
Elkhorn: Evolution of a Kentucky Landscape. Accents Books of Lexington will publish Snow Falling on Water: Selected and New Poems, in the fall of this year.

Joe Survant is Professor Emeritus in English at Western Kentucky University. He is the author of six collections of poetry. Individual poems have been published in Singapore, China, Malaysia, the U.K., and widely in the U.S., most recently in the Southern Poetry Review. He is a past Poet Laureate of Kentucky.
