Library Closed through Sunday, April 27

The Library will be closed to the public through Sunday, April 27, for flood repair.

We will begin offering curbside pick-up on Wednesday, April 23. This service will be available Wednesday-Friday (10:00am-6:00pm) and Saturday (10:00am-2:00pm). Curbside service will not be available on Sunday.

Patrons may place holds online through their account or by calling the Library at 352-2665 beginning Tuesday, April 22, at 10:00am. Library staff will contact patrons to schedule a pick-up date and time once their items are ready.

Join Kentucky authors Liz Carey and Bill Carman as they teach you how to maximize the exposure and sales of your self-published book through social media, print advertising, and in-person sales. They will also explore ways to engage your potential buyer, including a discussion of venues, branding tools, and dialogue.

Liz Carey is an award-winning journalist and newspaper reporter with credits in several major newspapers. She currently works as a freelance writer with clients across the U.S., serves as a columnist for the Lexington Herald Leader, and writes for several national online publications. She has authored books traditionally published and self-published, and she teaches at the Carnegie Center in Lexington. 

Bill Carman is a hunting and fishing guide and award-winning outdoor writer. His stories have appeared in numerous outdoor magazines, and he has authored four books of outdoor stories. He regularly conducts outdoor skills workshops and he teaches outdoor writing at the Carnegie Center in Lexington.
