Program Description

Event Details

During the post WWI period, Paris became an artist's colony for American expatriates and others, but here in America, segregationist pressures created another artist's colony for African Americans. Join Dr. Peter Smith, Kentucky State University Professor of English, as he explores the explosion in the arts created by a collection of talented African Americans that congregated in Harlem, commonly known as The Harlem Renaissance.

This event is part of One Book One Frankfort.
