Join us for an in-person discussion of the 2019 award-winning black comedy thriller film Parasite.

This South Korean film follows the destitute Kim family as they infiltrate the wealthy Park family, posing as highly qualified tutors, housekeepers, and chauffeurs. They hope to leech off the Park family, living in their home and using their house whenever possible, only to find themselves embroiled in a complicated mess of murder, missing persons, and psychosis.

No registration necessary. Parasite is available for viewing via the library’s free streaming service, Kanopy. To access the film, go to the PSPL home page, click on the Digital Resources tab, and then click on the Kanopy image. If you are a first-time Kanopy user, you will need to create an account using a valid email address, a password of your choosing, and your 12-digit library card number.

Once you have a Kanopy account, log in to Kanopy, and search for “Parasite” in the search bar at the top of the page. It should be the first result by director Bong Joon-Ho and studio Neon.

If you have trouble accessing Kanopy (or for more information), please contact Cindy at 352-2665 x107 or cindy.butor@pspl.org. For individuals having trouble accessing Kanopy, you can check out one of our multiple couples from the main collection (first come, first served).
