Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate Frankfort Heritage Week with a look at one of our most beloved landmarks! Join retired professional architectural historian Jayne Henderson Goddard as she discusses the historical engineering of Frankfort’s Singing Bridge. A Pennsylvania Petit through truss constructed by the King Bridge Company in 1893, the Singing Bridge is one of the only examples of this bridge type still in existence.

Goddard previously worked as an Architectural Historian with the Kentucky Heritage Council, as Historic Coordinator for the Division of Environment Analysis with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and as Senior Historic Preservation Specialist with Palmer Engineering.
