Steve Demaree

Steve Demaree, the author of 38 books, has participated in every Gathering of Authors and has enjoyed each visit. This year, Steve features two new books; The Body Next Door, the twenty-second book in the Dekker Cozy Mystery series, and Mixed Up in Murder, the follow-up to The Wrong Place. Steve is a native of Lexington and will be married to his amazing wife, Nell, for 54 years this November. He will turn 75 this year, even though he doesn't look a day over 74.

The Body Next Door

In the twenty-second book in the Dekker series, The Body Next Door, Cy's former next-door neighbors in town, Derek and Annabelle, come home from a home swap to find a body in their swimming pool, and another body is found at the house they stayed in with the home swap. That means that Cy and Lou have to go back to work, eventually going to an upscale resort in New York state, to track down the murderer.
